Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our cutters, custom orders, digital downloads, and shipping. Can't find your answer? We're just an email away.
General
What materials are used for 3D-printed cookie cutters?
We use FDA-approved food-safe PLA for all physical cookie cutters. This material is specifically designed for food contact and is safe for baking.
Are the cookie cutters dishwasher safe?
No, we recommend hand washing only to preserve the material quality and ensure your cutter lasts for many batches of cookies.
Do you offer refunds or returns?
Due to the print-to-order nature of our products, we're unable to accept returns — but if something arrives damaged or there's a quality issue, please reach out and we'll make it right. Your satisfaction matters to us.
Custom Orders & Design
What file formats do you accept for custom orders?
You can upload a reference image — JPG, PNG, or SVG, up to 5MB — right on the Custom Order page: a photo, sketch, logo, or vector all work. Have an AI file or a hand-drawn concept? Just email it over. If you can imagine it, we can work with it!
Can you modify my design to make it printable?
Yes! We refine designs for clarity and printability, ensuring they work well as cookie cutters.
How do I submit a custom cookie cutter design?
Head to our Custom Order page — describe your design, pick a size, add an optional reference image, and leave your email. We'll review it and send you a quote within 2 business days.
How much do custom designs cost?
Pricing depends on the complexity of your design — custom cutters typically start around $12–$25. Submit your idea on the Custom Order page and we'll get back to you with a quote within 2 business days.
Can you create cutters with interior details?
Absolutely! We offer outline cutters, decorative pattern cutters, and geometric shell designs. We'll help you choose the best option for your vision.
Digital Files & 3D Printing
What do I receive when I purchase a digital file?
You'll receive a ZIP file containing the print-ready STL, delivered instantly through a secure download link right after checkout. Use it to print as many cookie cutters as you like on your own 3D printer. The file is licensed for your own personal use — you may print from it freely, but you can't resell, share, or otherwise distribute the digital file itself.
Can I resell, share, or redistribute the digital file I purchased?
No. Buying a digital file gives you a personal license to print physical cookie cutters from it — not ownership of the design. You may not resell, share, gift, upload, or otherwise distribute the STL file itself, whether for free or for profit, and this applies to any modified version from which our original design can be extracted. You are welcome to sell the physical cookies and physical cutters you make from it.
Can I modify the STL files after purchase?
Yes, you may edit STL files using 3D modeling programs such as Microsoft 3D Builder, Blender, or Fusion 360. However, modifying the file does not grant permission to sell or distribute the digital file if our original design can be extracted from your version.
What 3D printer settings do you recommend?
We recommend printing at a 0.2mm layer height, 100% infill, and using food-safe filament.
Can I sell cookies made with your digital files?
Yes! You're free to sell baked goods created with our cutters.
Can I sell physical cutters I print from your digital files?
Yes, you may print and sell the physical cookie cutters created from our digital files for commercial purposes. However, reselling or distributing the digital files themselves is not permitted.
Ordering & Shipping
How much is shipping?
Shipping is $9.99 for the first cutter and $2.00 for each additional cutter in the same order, since they ship together in one parcel — so two cutters cost less to ship than two separate orders. Digital STL files never carry a shipping charge: a digital-only order ships nothing, so it pays nothing.
Can I get a refund?
Digital STL files are final sale — once the download link is issued, the file can't be returned, so all digital sales are final. Physical cutters are printed to order, so we can't take them back for change of mind or the wrong size choice; please check the dimensions on the product page first. That said, if anything arrives damaged, defective, or not as described — physical or digital — email us within 30 days and we'll replace it or refund it.
How long does it take to receive a custom cookie cutter?
Custom orders typically ship within 5–7 business days. Ready-made designs from the shop usually ship within 3–5 business days. Digital files are delivered instantly after purchase.
Do you offer international shipping?
At this time, we do not offer international shipping for physical cookie cutters. However, digital files are available for purchase — allowing customers worldwide to download and print their own cutters at home.
Can I track my order?
Yes, you will receive a tracking number once your order ships.
What if my order doesn't arrive?
If tracking shows delivered but you can't find your package, check with your household and neighbors first, then give it a day — parcels are sometimes scanned as delivered a little early. If it's still missing, or tracking hasn't updated in several days, email us with your order number and we'll help track it down or make it right.
Where do you ship from?
All orders are designed and printed in Seattle, Washington, USA, and shipped via USPS.
Geographic Cookie Cutters
Do you have cookie cutters for all countries, states, and regions?
We currently offer a large selection of geographical shapes, including countries, U.S. states, U.S. counties, and provinces of Canada. However, we don't yet have islands or city-specific shapes.
Can I request a geographical shape that is not listed?
Absolutely! We can create a custom geographic cutter for any location worldwide. Just start a Custom Order with the specific area you need.
Will my requested shape be exclusive to me?
Geographic shapes belong to the public domain and are available to everyone. If your request contains a custom feature — like a business logo or distinctive modification — it may remain exclusive. Otherwise, we'll add your requested shape to our public catalog so other customers can purchase it too.
How do I request a new geographical cookie cutter?
Submit it through our Custom Order page, or send us an email with details about the shape you need.
